Pansies Look Sickly...

I hope they perk up... Maybe they're supposed to all fall over like tiny drunks?

Mysterious Crop Damage

From 3/24, last Wednesday. I discovered this paw-shaped indentation in the Amaranth...

I patched it with some new seed-starting mix.

The culprit remains at large, but we have our suspects under close surveilance...

Tomato & Salvia Updates

Germinating Seedlings

On Thursday, the Amaranth and the Ageratum germinated. The Amaranth is maroon!

Today, I noticed that the Tomatillo, Shasta Daisy, and White Dill had come up as well. That's the white dill below. The others are still emerging from their bags.

Tomatoes Thinned

The tomatoes got their first set of true leaves and were promptly thinned.

It always makes me feel kind of bad.

Here are the tomatoes, taken on Thursday. Their second set of leaves is already coming in.

Tomato Sprouts

All of a sudden, the tomatoes sprouted. And they are going strong. 100% germination rate, a week and a half ahead of schedule. In fact, everything sprouted way early.

Dangerous predators lurk, even in the indoor garden.

Salvia and Drumstick Flowers

The Snow Nymph Salvia:

The Golden Drumstick flowers. A little more shabby... I hope more of them sprout.

The pansies are looking good. A lot of them are getting their second set of leaves. I'll be thinning them out soon.

This window sill is getting crowded!
